This form is essential to the candidate selection process. Its completion and return should be your first priority in selecting your new pastor. We encourage you to supply any additional information not specifically covered on the form as well as any current circumstances and/or vision of your center that will be most helpful in ensuring that you are presented with the most qualified candidates. We also recommend that you include information pertinent to your area such as cost of living, housing costs, weather conditions, job market, schools, etc., and photos of the center. This is beneficial in presenting your center to candidates.
It is our intention to do everything possible to ensure that the candidacy procedure is handled in a courteous and professional manner. We want to support you and your church in having a positive and creative experience as you move through the steps in selecting your new pastor.

If you would like to list your center pastorate vacancy with
PASTOR VACANCIES FILLED BY DIRECT SELECTION
A Church Board/Selection Committee may wish to bypass the general candidate process and make a single recommendation to the church membership of an individual they find to be a qualified pastoral candidate. In this instance, and unless the Standard Church Bylaws specifically prohibit this approach, the Board may present one candidate to the membership for vote (official members only).
There will be a special church membership meeting called for this purpose. If the candidate presented by the Board does not receive enough votes to be elected as pastor, the selection of a new pastor will revert to the general candidate process.
A church is required to send a written notification to the Placement Committee through ICSL Administrative Services stating they intend using the "direct selection" process, and is not required to submit the "general candidate" process to the Placement Committee.
Upon the election of a pastor, the church is required to send written notification of its selection to the Placement Committee through ICSL Administrative Services, and must also forward a request for ministerial licensing (if the minister-elect is not ordained) to ICSL Administrative Services.
